What is Anatomy Trains?

The Anatomy Trains lays out fascial and myofascial ‘anatomy of connection’ throughout the body, giving you the ability to map the pattern and shape the change.

The 12 ‘myofascial meridians’ in the Anatomy Trains system join the individual muscles you learned into functional complexes within the fascial fabric – each with a defined anatomy and ‘meaning’ in human posture and movement.

Anatomy Trains offers skills that therapists, regardless of their modality, can use to see their clients more clearly and work more effectively.

The courses are designed for health professionals such as physiotherapists, massage therapists, osteopaths and chiropractors, who want to expand their understanding of the myofascial connections in the body and learn new skills to affect them.

Director, Julie Hammond BSc(Hum&MedSc)

My vision in establishing Anatomy Trains Australia & New Zealand was to create a learning environment that offers high-quality continuing professional development that is evidence-informed, clinically relevant, and continually evolving. I believe education should not only reflect current knowledge but also translate directly into better outcomes for the people we work with.

One of the strengths of our teaching team is that every instructor continues to run an active clinical practice. They bring years of real-world experience into the classroom, ensuring that what we teach is practical, relevant, and grounded in everyday clinical practice.

The values that underpin everything we do are respect, curiosity, non-judgement, and creating a safe and supportive environment where people feel comfortable asking questions, exploring new ideas, and developing confidence in their own clinical reasoning.

After 26 years in the bodywork profession, I still genuinely love both clinical practice and teaching. Every client and every class continues to teach me something new. Sharing what I have learned, while continuing to learn alongside others, is one of the greatest privileges of my career.

My hope is not only to teach techniques, but to inspire practitioners to think deeply, remain curious, and continue growing throughout their professional journey.

Short Courses

We offer a range of Short Courses across Australia, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Some of these Short Courses are also a part of the full Structural Integration Program, and others are focused on a specific learning or modality.

Listening to the body is at the heart of meaningful change. It’s not about imposing technique, but about developing the ability to feel, observe, and respond to what is already there.

This Summer School invites you to slow down, refine your perception, and explore the body as a connected, adaptive system. Through anatomy, fascia, movement, and hands-on practice, you’ll deepen your clinical reasoning and enhance your ability to see the whole person rather than isolated symptoms.

Open to all health professionals, this immersive learning experience welcomes practitioners from a wide range of disciplines who are curious about expanding their understanding of the body and integrating new perspectives into clinical practice

Very informative and powerful work. Loved receiving more insight in regard to the anatomy, physiology and mechanics of breathing and how that feeds into pain and the different ways we travel in our body. Beautiful work.

DESIRE G.

Great combination of hands-on, theory and time to absorb. Well aimed at all levels of therapists.
