ATSI Part I: Structural Essentials - 6 Modules

Structural Essentials is the beginning of your ATSI Structural Integration journey and will be a mixture of Manual techniques, theory and body reading.

Structural Essentials is a completely redesigned program that includes a series of short intensives to give you a solid, reliable, and holistic way of working.

Each workshop can be taken as a stand alone or part of the full ATSI training programme

This series of workshops will take you to a new level in therapy by combining movement and specific manual techniques for the most efficient and long-lasting results, using the latest research on the interaction between skeleton, myofascia, joints, and fascial proprioceptors.

See how inefficient mechanics in one spot can lead to overuse problems (and pain) somewhere quite distant from the original issue – and then use both movement and manual techniques to make quick, effective and lasting improvements.

Each class includes:

  • Relevant anatomy for the area – short intensive and integrated presentations assemble the best figures from multiple sources, including brand new learning tools such as video of fascial dissections and palpation of the relevant structures to convey the information in an inspiring and understandable fashion.
  • BodyReading (visual assessment) – the common postural and movement implications – how to see and ‘read’ them in the intricacy of individual patterns
  • Fascial Release Techniques – each technique is fully laid out for intent and ‘feel’, with plenty of time for practice, ensuring that you can apply these methods immediately in your practice.

ATSI Modules:

1. Legs & Arches

2. Fans of the Hip

3. Abdomen, Chest & Breath

4. Tensegrity spine

5. Shoulders & Arms

6. Head, Neck & Jaw

ATSI Part II - Structural Strategies

Integrate all of the information you have learned in the previous workshops (Anatomy Trains & the 6 Structural Essential workshops to create one powerful package: our unique 3 session series.

During this in-depth and intensive 10-day training  you will develop a full-body vision, applying the postural assessments already learned and integrating them into a complete understanding of the relationships throughout the body. Using Thomas Myers’ Anatomy Trains as the model for the interpretation of structural and functional compensations, you will be equipped with the functional analysis tools to be able to design and perform the Structural Bodywork series, which can produce powerful and lasting changes for your clients.

(Structural Vision can only be taken if you have completed an Anatomy Trains workshop and the 6 Structural essential modules).

Using Thomas Myers’ Anatomy Trains as the model for the interpretation of structural and functional compensations, you will be equipped with the functional analysis tools to be able to design and perform the Structural Bodywork series, which can produce powerful and lasting changes for your clients.

The 3 session series you will learn will give you the ability to balance the lower body (first session), the upper body (second session) and the spine (in the third session). The series allows the client to regain a sense of completion and connection in their body, being able to use it as a communicating and co- operative whole rather than a set of individual part, bringing efficiency and integration to their system.
Once you have completed the Structural Bodywork Certification, your knowledge can be further expanded through our advanced Structural Integration Training, to also encompass the mind-body connections and expand on the skills taught in this section.

All our teachers are highly trained and experienced practitioners. They are able to use a range of teaching methods to help you to hone your touch skills, ensuring a confident and accurate engagement of the fascial tissues in each part of the body. Our teachers are up to date with current research and thinking on bodywork approaches to the body, and will give you the opportunity to blend your current skills with the new ideas demonstrated allowing you to evolve your own unique style of myofascial bodywork.

We hope you can join us on this exciting journey.

Please Note: To attend these workshops prior participation in Anatomy Trains & Structural Essentials is required.
